What are your thoughts on insurance for non-uk residents?
Obviously there are GAP insurance products, but I will shortly be a permanent french resident and have no ties to the UK.... are there any recommended french products? What do you guys use?

Your best bet is the FFS Annual Carte Neige. My wife and I have had this for several years and it is excellent value for money. Full details at www.ffs.fr/carteneige

I am afraid I have done no research on insurance for French residents. Henry may well know more, but it is not something we have looked into in detail like we did the UK insurance
