We promised we would record the Sunday club calls.  We have now managed to do this.

In this call Henry introduces the theory of avalanche triggering as well as discussing the current snow conditions.

Current risk of avalanche

For those of you in resort, you may be noticing that despite our warnings of significant risk when new snow falls, that new snow has fallen and nothing is happening even though many people are venturing out onto steep slopes.  There is negligible avalanche activity.  This does not mean we were wrong.  The tragic accidents earlier in the season occurred when there was virtually no recent avalanche activity.  The theory of avalanche triggering explains this paradox and why you should be careful.
