The snow has been falling fast and the lifts are OPEN in the Espace Killy!!
This also signifies the beginning of the HAT seasonal staff training. We kicked off in Tignes with our friends at Skiworld, then Consensio and VIP in Val, with TUI, Mountain Rooms and YSE to go. Over the next week or so, the Henry’s Avalanche Talk 'Ride Hard! Ride Safe' message will reach the ears of 800 winter staff across the Alps. Some will have met us before, for others it may be their first time in the Alps outside of an family or school organised ski trip. We anticipate a further 150 staff will come and see us during our public Intro Talks in Val d’Isère and Meribel.
With lots of Tour Operators now setting up for a busy season in Val d'Isere and beyond, we know that all staff are itching to get their lift passes and get up the mountain. There's a lot of fun to be had, but we urge all new seasonnaires to be well informed and well prepared if venturing out in the back country.
If you’re a seasonnaire reading this and you’d like a HAT avalanche awareness and safety talk but your employer hasn’t booked in with us, don't panic! Come along to our Weekly Intro Talk on Tuesdays in Dicks Tea Bar, Val d’Isère. We’re kicking off on 7th December 2010 @ 17h and I promise it’ll be the best €7.50 you’ll spend all season! We can also train you in how to use your beeper on Wednesday afternoons, (why have it if you can't use it?) so for more information and to book a place go to www.henrysavalanchetalk.com
